In Batman Begins after the wealthy Bruce Wayne’s parents are killed he moves to Asia to begin a new life. There he meets mentor Henri Ducard AKA supervillain Ra’s Al Ghul and is trained on how to fight evil, however, when he learns of Ducard’s plan to battle and overcome evil in Gotham City Wayne decides to take matters into his own hands and returns home with the intent of saving Gotham City from criminals and corruption himself.
